XOPOZ

GPS · Tracking · Encrypted · Teams

Hello,

A new XOPOZ version — 2026.06.11.01 — is now available. The headline of this release is the new Run session: a live workout overlay on the map that tracks elapsed time, distance, and average speed, then saves the run as a track. It also brings GPX interoperability (open .gpx files from other apps, export any track to GPX), two new satellite map sources, app-wide haptic feedback, large-screen and rotation support, and a fix so shared Points of Interest reliably reach every team member.

As before, you can install it as a standalone APK from our releases page, or via the Google Play closed testing track — reply to this email to be added to the testing list.

Two ways to get the new version
Google Play is the preferred path (auto-updates from then on) but requires a one-time registration on the closed testing track. The standalone APK installs directly without any whitelisting.

Android App — What's New

Run sessions — live workout tracking
A new Run entry in the navigation drawer starts a live session over the map, showing a running chronometer, the distance covered, and your average speed in a clean monospace readout. The drawer button toggles to Stop, and a short double-buzz confirms each start and stop. The session keeps counting even if you leave the map screen, and on stop the run is saved automatically as a track — drawn in your own device colour — in a dedicated «myRuns» collection. Live distance is computed with the same filtering as the saved track, so the number you watch during the run matches the one you keep.

Open GPX files from other apps, and export any track
Xopoz now registers as a handler for GPX files, so it appears in Android's «Open with» list when you tap a .gpx download, file, or email attachment — the file is routed straight into the Track Manager import. The Track Manager also gains an Export as GPX action that writes any single imported or in-app track back to a GPX file for sharing or backup.

New satellite map sources
Two aerial imagery servers are now built in — EOX Sentinel-2 cloudless and Esri ArcGIS World Imagery — alongside the existing street maps. The default server has been renamed from «Tiritix» to «Europe» for clarity. You remain free to add or replace any raster tile server of your own.

Haptic feedback across the app
A short, consistent vibration now confirms key actions so they can be felt without looking at the screen — map button presses, distance-measurement drag, joining a team, and sending an SOS. The distinctive longer pattern remains reserved for confirming that tracking has been switched off.

Large-screen and free rotation
The app now supports resizable windows and free orientation on large-screen devices — tablets, foldables, and desktop windowing — so the layout follows the device instead of being locked.

Shared Points of Interest reach the whole team
A POI shared with a team could fail to appear on teammates' devices even though it was stored correctly on the server. Retrieval and change-polling now include the groups shared with every team you belong to, so a Point added by one member shows up for the others — and receivers are correctly told to refetch when a teammate adds one.

Polish and fixes
The Trail Duration day cursor is capped at 10 days to keep map rendering smooth; the team-member battery warning now turns red below 20% (instead of 10%) as an earlier heads-up; «Create my track» honours the exact date range you select; the account creation screen links directly to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; a map-screen crash on rapid navigation was fixed; the support ticket list gained smooth infinite scroll; the app-wide typeface was refreshed (Audiowide) with theme-aware colours and slightly larger Settings text.

Backend Server — What's New

Shared-POI retrieval fix
The POI root endpoint and its change-poll now return the groups shared with the teams a caller belongs to, not only the caller's own groups — the server-side half of the shared-POI fix described above. This makes the «one member adds it, the whole team sees it» story work end to end.

Staff — delete a team by security id
Operators gain a dedicated staff endpoint to remove a team by its security identifier, reusing the existing cascade path so the team's memberships and contextual data are cleaned up consistently. Used internally for beta housekeeping.

Field reports — bug observations, missing markers, unexpected behaviour, or simply confirmation that everything runs smoothly — are very welcome at xopoz@tiritix.com. The built-in Support screen also lets you attach a log file directly from the app.

Thank you — your feedback is what keeps the quality bar high.
